James Harden, Russell Westbrook Enjoying Final Months Of Friendship Before The Season Gets Serious

From being spotted around town on their tandem bicycle to reportedly always going halvesies on their fries, Russell Westbrook and James Harden are making the most of their summer friendship before it inevitably ends when the season gets serious. “Those two are actually a little annoying to be around” commented teammate and tier-2 friend Clint Capela. “Constantly sharing inside jokes about KD and reminiscing about the good old days playing together in Oklahoma City.

Despite the fallout that will ensue as the playoffs get close and both players take 20+ shot attempts per game, their spirits couldn’t be higher as evident by their cute photo booth pics and Instagram story from their trip to wine country. “Man, a friendship like that is a special thing. They’re like Ross and Rachel those two,” added good, but not great friend and guard Eric Gordon. “It stinks for all of us, but once James runs ISO plays without utilizing the league’s assist leader, that’s game over for movie night.”

Sources say they’ll try to remain friends, but everyone knows it’s just not possible when both guys want full-custody of the ball when the clock winds down. Shaking his head, Gordon added “I hate that I’m stuck in the middle of this. I mean, I’m friends with both of ‘em. I just hope Russell understands when I don’t invite him up for the cabin weekend.”

Westbrook and Harden reportedly have gotten each other Valentine’s gifts already.
