Halftime Show Surprise Guest Revealed To Be Category 4 Hurricane
After weeks of speculation, a leaked email revealed today that a category 4 hurricane will be the surprise guest during The Weeknd’s Super Bowl LV halftime show.
Hurricane Alicia, the South American native who has already taken the Caribbean by storm, is expected to hit America even harder, according to music journalists and meteorologists alike.
“Floridians are hard to impress when it comes to these things, but once Alicia sets her eye on the Sunshine State, we’re going to be knocked off our feet and blown hundreds of yards away,” said Devon Allen, journalist for SPINN, the leading weather and music journal. “No doubt she’ll bring the house down—all the houses—on Super Bowl Sunday.”
The news comes as little surprise to The Weeknd fans, who noted the superstar had praised her online. “Just saw Alicia’s work. She is a FORCE OF NATURE! Buckle up Florida,” he wrote on his Instagram, leading to some speculation of a whirlwind romance.
Alicia has also pinged the radar of Super Bowl contenders on both the Buccaneers and Chiefs. Travis Kelce warned that Alicia could “knock your lights out,” while Tom Brady called her “intense,” but not the type of atmospheric pressure he “couldn’t handle.”
The Weeknd and Hurricane Alicia’s performance is scheduled for Sunday, February 7th at halftime, weather permitting.
