Gymnast’s Parents Can’t Believe They Invested 14 Years For A Bronze

After spending the past 14 years of their lives spending countless hours and tens of thousands of dollars, Matt and Jane Travnik have expressed outrage that their daughter, Olivia, only won a Bronze Medal on the balance beams. Olivia, who has been training since the age of 3, has been driven around to meets from coast to coast by her parents, only to be brought great shame.

“Do you have any idea how much time I’ve spent traveling around the country, and making sure you don’t eat,” Mr. Travnik expressed while taking his frustrations out. “All that so you could come in third after some Russian and someone named Simone!” Jane, while not enraged to the same point as her husband, was visibly disappointed in her daughter, and made a few passive aggressive comments about how the other kids were on larger podiums.

Both parents were able to admit that they were unsure how the family was going to function moving forward due to this unmitigated disaster. “It’s going to be hard looking my daughter in the face knowing that she has disgraced the Travnik name like this,” Matt expressed to the dozens of reporters on the floor. “I would say that I’ve failed as a father, but we all know it wasn’t me who slightly under-rotated on that roundoff.”

After returning home from the games, Matt, still visibly in rage, returned to his job managing the third best pizza chain in the country, Little Caesars.
