Kirk Cousins Asked To Crouch Behind Gatorade Cooler For Team Photo

Atlanta Falcons Owner Arthur Blank took one look at the 2025 team picture and knew he had fixed the problem. Unlike the 2024 team photo, Kirk Cousins was asked to move to behind the Gatorade cooler in order to decrease his presence.

“I thought that everyone important to the Falcons organization should be in the foreground, like Michael Penix and our accounting intern, Greg,” said Blank, “and after Kirk tossed the camera bag a good three yards behind the camera guy, we knew exactly where to put him.”

After viewing the picture for the first time, Cousins wasn’t exactly sure why the Gatorade cooler all of a sudden had blonde hair and he was listed as “Not Pictured.” When he realized that his was the blonde hair peeking out from the cooler, he handled it with surprising poise.

“I knew what the deal was when the camera guy just kept telling me to move to my left and said ’good’ when I was almost on the other side of the field, but it’s pretty par for the course,” said Cousins. “In Minnesota, they asked if I wanted to take the picture myself and in Washington, Coach Gruden sent me to the store to pick up some Advil during the team photo.”

This news came to us shortly after the Falcons had told Cousins to refrain from tagging them in Instagram selfies and just before head coach Raheem Morris changed his phone number.

Other teams have handled their team photo QB-related situation similarly. Most recently, the Denver Broncos asked Zach Wilson to pose for the team photo inside a tackling dummy.
