Michael Jordan Loses Charlotte Hornets At Craps Table

In the latest of a string of ill-advised bets made by the Hall of Fame shooting guard, this Wednesday Michael Jordan reportedly gambled away his ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets during a craps game at a North Carolina casino.

Since becoming an owner in 2010, His Airness has regularly gone all-in on questionable risks.

“He always convinced he’s going to hit the jackpot by betting on some white center in the first round. It never works,” said one member of the Charlotte Hornets front office, later revealing that Jordan has even stopped hedging his bets by using the team’s second-round picks to draft black players.

Jordan’s losses extend far beyond his poor draft record. Some of the worst wagers he’s made during his tenure include drafting Kwame Brown first overall, trading for Dwight Howard, and betting his talentless children they couldn’t redesign the team’s uniforms in 2012. Even so, analysts agree that forfeiting the $1.25 billion team on a single roll is Jordan’s biggest loss since gambling away his father’s life in 1993.

“I’m worried about him,” said former teammate Scottie Pippen. “If he doesn’t get help soon, it won’t be long until he gambles away the rest of his family, too.”

According to sources, Jordan remains at the casino and is desperately trying to win the team back by betting the rights to personal image and likeness.
