NBA Suddenly Embraces India

In a stunning move that’s being felt across the business world, the National Basketball Association revealed today that their number one priority moving forward will be strengthening their relationship with the nation of India. NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver, took to the podium this morning to announce the news.

“India is a country rife with economic potential. It contains over one billion people, all of whom would love basketball if they just gave it a chance,” said Silver. “As a league, we value progress above all, and there’s nothing more progressive than introducing basketball to the continent of Asia.”

India is reportedly very excited about the blossoming partnership with the NBA, especially after commissioner Silver went to great lengths to convince the Indian people that “the game of basketball is actually a lot like cricket.”

In addition to staging a number of exhibition games across the South Asian country next summer, the NBA has confirmed production is already underway on the upcoming blockbuster Bollywood film, “Spice Jam.”
