Aaron Rodgers Admits To Pat McAfee His Favorite Quarterback Of All Time Is Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers has done it again. On Tuesday’s Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers, exhibiting his trademark humility, revealed his “favorite quarterback of all time.” The answer, he admitted, was “Aaron Rodgers.”
“Aaron Charles Rodgers,” he went on. “AKA, you know, ‘Aaron Rodgers.’ ”
Added Aaron Rodgers, “A-Rod’s been on my list for a long time. But did I know he was my favorite? Well, not until recently,” admitted the 1-time Super Bowl champion. “I was making a list of people I admired, and there it was — right at the top: ‘Aaron Rodgers.’ ”
Rodgers said he always ayahuasca-meditates when trying to solve Gordian knots, “like this one.” Where it took him less than five minutes to decide “Jets versus Raiders” (“Jets”) and “best Packer ever” (“Aaron Rodgers”), the question of “favorite quarterback of all time” haunted him for almost ten minutes. Finally he arrived at an answer — Aaron Rodgers. His source? “Aaron Rodgers,” he said, shrugging in disbelief.
“I always hear myself out in arguments with myself,” said the 39-year-old veteran. “That’s when I know I’m onto something. And it takes great humility because I have to listen not only to what I’m thinking but also to what my soul is thinking.” And with this question? “My soul was smiling on the eternal ether.”
“Best football player of all time?” asked McAfee, to conclude the episode. “Oh, I could never say that,” admitted Aaron Rodgers. But then Aaron Rodgers bravely wrote down three candidates on separate index cards and vowed just to pick one. He smiled upon seeing the “winner.” “Oh, jeez,” he said. “You’re not gonna believe this.” Taking a moment, and then smiling, “it’s Aaron Rodgers,” said Aaron Rodgers.
