Dan Campbell Apologizes For Accidentially Devouring Game Ball Meant For Jared Goff

After Jared Goff’s perfect performance against the Seattle Seahawks Dan Campbell took to the media to apologize for accidentally devouring the game ball meant for Goff.

“It’s my bad,” said Campbell to Lions reporters. “It took grit – but I put that ball in my mouth and ate it. All of it.”

While many around the league believe Goff would’ve been surprised, or even that this type of thing could tear the Lions apart – this isn’t the first time this has happened.

“Yeah, last year – I threw four touchdowns, set a couple franchise records,” Goff said to our local Detroit affiliate, DetriotRiot. “I walk in the locker room and there’s Coach, dipping the game ball, MY game ball in honey mustard. Housed that thing in one bite.”
