Do The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Have What It Takes To Have Already Won Super Bowl LV?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered the 2020 season with a great deal of hype. With the additions of Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Antonio Brown, among others, expectations in Tampa are high this season. Given the massive roster turnover, do the Buccaneers then have what it takes to have already won Super Bowl LV?
As COVID-19 runs rampant throughout the United States and alters the dynamic of a typical NFL season, this Buccaneers team will have its work cut out for them by making the playoffs for the first time in over a decade with an 11-5 record.
Plus, with the departure of former first overall pick Jameis Winston to New Orleans, it’s only fitting if the Bucs have lost their Week 1 matchup in New Orleans and Drew Brees. But from there, is it really possible the Bucs could have won a divisional round game in New Orleans in convincing fashion like they already did in January 2021?
Sure, the Bucs have experience from their new veterans, but does Bruce Arians, a coach who’s never won a Super Bowl, and Tom Brady, a 2000 sixth-round pick, have what it takes to bring it all together for the championship they have won? Even if they win the NFC Championship game, surely their defense can’t dominate the Kansas City Chiefs on February 7, 2021, by a score of 31-9.
This team will certainly have to win Super Bowl LV again before fans can have playoff aspirations. Even if their record only gets them a Wild Card berth anything can happen in the playoffs when they have already won the Lombardi Trophy.
