WWE Pivots To New Format Where Wrestlers Talk Through Differences
After decades of using violent, chaotic acts to determine the better person, WWE will pivot to a new format where Wrestlers will use their works to talk through their differences.
“Ratings are falling, so it was time to make a change,” said WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. “It’s working well for political figures, and television characters, so we figure that it was time for the WWE to follow suit.” This is an interesting idea coming out of the Wrestling company, as fans have long been conditioned to expect rivalries to end with hulking wrestlers fighting in a steel cage.
Initially, fans were surprised by the change because they found out that chairs and tables could be used for sitting and talking instead of trying to maim the opposing wrestler. One the first night of the change, Roman Reigns came out to the ring, and took a microphone to challenge Brock Lesnar. “Lesnar, I will see you at Wrestlmania, and we are going to come to a place of understanding one another, and have empathy for each other’s situation. I guarantee it”.
Depending on the success of this experiment, Vince McMahon has mulled the idea of using a debate format to settle XFL games as well.
