Bears Fan Enraged By How Genuine And Inspiring It Was To Meet Aaron Rodgers

Returning home from a United Way fundraising event in Madison, Wisconsin, local Rockford, Illinois, native and lifelong Bears fan, Brian Zielinski was devastated to report the overwhelming sense of warmth and sincerity that he had received upon meeting longtime Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

“Most athletes at these events are pretty reserved, so you can imagine how pissed off I was that the one star who actually went out of his way to be nice to me was Aaron freaking Rodgers,” said Zielinski, who frustratedly noted that the 18-year NFL veteran kept deflecting questions about himself so that he could learn more about Zielinski’s own hobbies and interests. “I kept trying to conjure up images of all the times he roasted us, but he was so genuinely engaging and interested in the work that my local chapter was doing that even the 2011 NFC Championship game wasn’t cutting it. God, I hate him so much.”

Zielinski reported a gradual sense of both profound respect and physical illness gaining hold of him throughout the event, exacerbated by the time the detestably captivating Rodgers seemed like he was struggling with his speech only to miraculously and beautifully recover by the fourth paragraph, as well as when the Packers star generously announced that he would match every donation made up to 70%, far exceeding Justin Fields’ own 63% career philanthropy average.

“He was practically perfect. Even when I said I was a Bears fan, that unselfish douchebag turned it around on me and started complimenting their defensive strategy,” said Zielinski. “I thought for sure he would lose it when my wife made the mistake of asking him where the rest of his family was, but even then, he just laughed it off and asked a follow-up question about how she was coping after losing her mom to cancer. What a gracious, thoroughly considerate asshole.”

As of this reporting, Zielinski had apparently locked himself in his bedroom, where he was glaring furiously at the Packers season tickets he had allowed Rodgers to give to him.
