Red Sox Front Office Immediately Responds To Team’s Winning Record By Trading Best Player

BREAKING: The Boston Red Sox coming off the heels of a series sweep of arguably the best team in baseball and their bitter rival, the Yankees, have traded their best player.

“We knew we needed to do something. The team needed [the front office] to take that locker room to another level,” said Craig Breslow, Red Sox GM. “That’s why the front office and I put our heads together and traded our best player, bat, and home grown talent.”

While many around the league are left scratching their heads some GM’s and baseball insiders feel differently, vehemently.

“Many think the Sox are crazy, but I think it was a bold and wise move,” Buster Posey, Giants Head of Baseball Operations, said in an interview with Sports Riot while laughing. “The Red Sox know how to build a West Coast contender a la Mookie Betts. It’s impressive.”

Las Vegas currently has the SF Giants favored to win the World Series OR Boston burns their entire cityscape to the ground by the end of summer.
