Report: Dad Has ‘Favorite Black Quarterback’
Speaking to his son on the phone, local dad and lifelong NFL fan, Martin Wilhite, proudly announced that after years of waiting, he had finally chosen a favorite Black quarterback to root for.
“Have you seen this new Black quarterback they’ve got playing out there?” Wilhite asked about Washington Commanders quarterback, Jayden Daniels. “This guy’s the best — he reminds me of a young Michael Vick… or maybe like a young Randall Cunningham. And the way he can pass the ball and also run outside of the pocket? Very impressive!”
Wilhite went on to relay to his wincing son in full detail how he finally decided which Black quarterback was his favorite, ecstatically noting that there were “an awful lot to choose from them these days!”
“From his ability to read a defense at a professional level, to his calm, non-aggressive leadership style with his teammates, this young Black [Daniels] fella really has all the right stuff to take Washington to the Super Bowl down the line,” concluded Wilhite, pausing for a second to Google whether Daniels was blood related to any other famous Black football players he might recognize.
Wilhite then changed the subject with his son, spending the next several minutes gushing about how “that woman basketball player, Caitlin Clark” was elevating the game.
