Revealed: Aaron Rodgers Agrees to Marriage on Condition That He Can Also Bring Along Allen Lazard and Davante Adams

As we get closer to the NFL season, new details are coming out about Aaron Rodgers’ mysterious marriage. According to insiders, the Steelers signal caller agreed to be wed in holy matrimony on the condition that he could also bring along Allen Lazard and Davante Adams.

“I just feel more comfortable with them,” Rodgers said, as the two receivers walked him down the aisle. “Besides, my wife got to bring her decorative coordinator. It’s only fair that I get to bring my two favorite targets.”

After all four of them exchanged vows and said “I do,” witnesses recounted how Rodgers seemed to be playing conservative the rest of the ceremony. Rather than go for the score and mingle with his bride’s family, the 41-year-old quarterback spent the remainder of the day running out the clock by throwing checkdowns to his favorite receivers.

Adams’ and Lazard’s involvement did not end there. The two reportedly accompanied Rodgers on his honeymoon, giving him the confidence to quarterback his marriage. They were also present when the newlyweds were touring houses, with Lazard calling a well-timed audible to ensure the couple got granite countertops. In addition, the receivers were heavily involved in the couple’s decision to paint the nursery green and yellow.

Though Mrs. Rodgers could not be reached for comment, Aaron quelled rumors that she was growing frustrated with the constant presence of the two pass catchers. “Look, marriage is about compromise,” Rodgers mused as he hit Adams on a back yard post route. “Why do you think Randall Cobb isn’t here? Besides, she should be happy. If things don’t work out, she gets Lazard in the divorce.”
