The Next Booger McFarland? This NFL Commentator Doesn’t Know What The Hell Is Going On
Are you ready for football season? Are you ready for the next Booger McFarland? As we all know Booger McFarland’s Monday Night Football stint included fantastical claims such as “Football is like going to the dressing room and walking out with the clothes without paying for it. You just take things,” or, “When I played, if I was a food, I’d be beef stew.” Once thought to be a generational broadcasting talent, McFarland is quickly being overshadowed by NFL Live Stream color analyst Edward Norkus, whose comments make it abundantly clear that he has no idea what the hell is going on.
Norkus, a former practice squad linebacker, has filled McFarland’s void on MNF better than anyone could have hoped for, instantly winning over fans with classic comments like, “Well, if they complete this race to the square rectangle, maybe they are the ones that get all the ladies. That, my friends, is how the perfect football game is played in the trenches.” It’s these baffling diatribes that leave fans scratching their hands and concluding that this buffoon has no way to conceptualize what’s unfolding before him.
Not since Booger said during the Browns-Steelers game, “Listen, I think the key to this game can be found by a locksmith. They talk about keys to the game all the time, and I’m sitting here thinking, ‘Well, a locksmith would do a much better job figuring that out than a football coach,'” have we had someone remotely challenge the stupidity of McFarland. But, with Norkus firing off observations like, “Yeah, this game will be won if they play great offense, great defense, great special teams. But if both do do that–oh, shoot, I forgot I left my car engine running,” it won’t be long until fans are clamoring for McFarland’s imminent return to broadcasting.
With his complete absence of logical reasoning in comments like, “What if they throw the ball way up in the air, and they don’t think they’ll catch it, will they call a timeout? That way the play never happened, and they can do it over and over until they do think they’ll catch it,” it’s obvious McFarland would have had a heck of a time trying to keep up with the younger Norkus, although the rookie has a long way to go if he’s gonna catch the man setting the pace for all-time dumb comments. Until then, fans can rest assured they’re witnessing something truly special unfold before them.
