Spooked Trevor Lawrence Tells Travis Hunter There’s Still Time To Get Out
Shortly after being drafted second overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Heisman trophy winner Travis Hunter was greeted by a startling sight: a terrified and haggard Trevor Lawrence, warning Hunter to turn back now.
“At first, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” said a shocked Hunter. “No one’s seen or heard from Old Man Lawrence since he set course for Jacksonville back in 2021.”
Once Hunter arrived in Jacksonville, he found the Jaguars quarterback living in a foggy, uncharted section of Everbank stadium, just past the opposing 5 yard line. Upon seeing the Jags newest draft pick, Lawrence grabbed him, a crazed look in his eye. “Heed my warning! The cat circles the prey! The Hunter becomes the hunted!” Lawrence growled, looking over his shoulder. “Don’t fall for their lies. They tell you you’ll be a star. That Jacksonville will win. But Jacksonville never wins! Get out while you still can- can- can!” Lawrence snarled, disappearing back into the perpetual fog.
Other Jaguars victims/players urged the young superstar to leave Jacksonville.
That night, Hunter was reportedly visited by three ghosts of Jacksonville past, present, and future, in the form of Maurice Jones-Drew, Brian Thomas Jr., and Blake Bortles’ son, Blake Bortles Jr., (who will play 5 seasons under center for the Jaguars in the 2040’s never reaching the playoffs). Hunter listened, felt, and experienced Jones-Drew’s and Thomas Jr.’s harrowing tales of Jaguar pain. But the former Heisman winner was brought to tears when Bortles Jr. recounted how he was to be sacked a record setting 571 times in the 2045 season.
However, Hunter would not be deterred. “I got Colorado to 9 wins,” he said, swallowing the lump in his throat and walking through the stadium gates to see the field for the first time, “How hard can it be to fix up the Jags?”
That was the last time anyone ever saw Travis Hunter.
